ERS Local Phone Number

You can set up a local 10 digit phone number with us for anywhere in the U.S. and when a hearing person calls your ERS number to speak to you, the ERS Operator will use your chosen IM contact details to find out if you’re online and available to take the call. If you’re not online or simply not available at the time and the caller wishes to leave a message, we’ll send that message to your chosen email address so that you can pick it up and return the call later.
Wherever you are and whether it’s through your laptop or mobile phone, then you have access to ERS for incoming calls.
ERS USA uses your own phone number to make your outgoing calls so that anyone can use your Caller ID to ring you straight back or they can recognise that it’s you calling before they answer the call! Most relay providers don't have this feature available and when they place your calls for you, Caller I.D will be the Relay provider's phone number or will be ‘withheld’ so the Hearing person will not know who has called or will ring back the Relay company phone line with no idea who to ask for. Our CEO, Marcus Turley, feels that this is time-wasting and annoying so, at ERS, he wants to exceed the minimum requirements set by FCC and give you unique features to save you time and money.
Another useful feature of your local 10 digit phone number is that when you call the emergency service through us then the emergency service Operator will be able to recognize your local 10 digit number instantly because it will show up as the Caller ID.
We are the first and only relay provider to provide a real local phone number in the United States!
If you forgot to apply for an ERS Phone number when you opened your account, want to transfer* your local Phone number over to us from other relay provider or simply amend or update any of your details, please contact our Customer Services who will be happy to help you.
*There is no charge for transferring a local phone number from your default relay provider to us and it is easy to transfer. Just fill in this form and we will do the rest for you!
